Feedbacks:
Week 7:
General feebacks: The grids we made are for the text in the body. If we determine that the body text should take up a specific amount of space, we need alter our grids to accommodate it. Don't start designing the book with the pictures until you've chosen where you want your text to go. We don't have to match the image to the text; subtitles for the visuals can always be added. We're not truly using the grid if we're merely centre aligning. We use the type specimen sheet to visualise how we want our layouts to look.

Specific Feedbacks:
Visual was too impact, not related to your own story.

Week 8:
Indepentdent learning week

Week 9:
General Feedbacks: Print in black and white to examine how the book, formatting, and pages appear. Thicker cover design 2mm wider, paper 70gsm-80gsm.

Specific Feedbacks: Absent

Week 10:
General Feedbacks: Make sure your blogs are up to date by next week. Include all of the steps in the process, not just the final submission.

Specific Feedbacks:  Needs to improve documetnation and skill levels.

Reflection:

Experience:
This task was very struggle for me due to the time management by myself and the works load that combine all together this semster. I also quite dissapointed the final outcome of my book because i think it would look good but actually no. The mistake i done was very basic levels, therefore i hope i can apply more time into this project but actually i can't.

Observation:
The references was so hard to found in every single website therefore i was very struggle that am i doing the right way or not? I also notice that having pracrtice the form and movement exercise was so importnat in this assignment.

Findings:
We need to be very focus on what Mr. Vinod feedback he gave. Feedbakcs was really useful to a struggle person and i won't lie to that. Sometimes i also put the mistake about im oding a work but too impact, however when i change the design again, it looks too weak as a visual. Therefore, i wanted to say sorry to Mr.Vinod about what he teach me i can't really apply it on my assignment perferctly.

Futher reading:

Before you start designing a book cover for yourself or for a client, study up on these nine best practices for designing a high-quality book cover that flies off of the shelves:

  • 1. Gather book cover design inspiration
  • 2. Outline the book’s main themes
  • 3. Consider the genre
  • 4. Use visual hierarchy
  • 5. Get rid of the clutter
  • 6. Think in terms of thumbnails
  • 7. Choose appropriate fonts and colors
  • 8. Make your title stand out
  • 9. Don’t overlook the spine or back cover
