Project 3A: Brand Positioning

Project 3B: Brand applications

After we did our project 2, Ms. Liliam wanted us to start a moldboard about how we think our brand could be and also want us to think about the meaning we wanted to deliver to our consumers.

We also did a few mood boards to represent the way we gonna move on. In my brand, I wanted to do a fashion brand that people can do actually what they want in their own way.

So what exactly do we need to do in Task 3B? We need to Design relevant applications (business card, letterhead & continuation sheet, invoice) using the logo created whilst guided by the framework identified in the mood board. Design at least 4 collaterals (t-shirt, tote-bag, lapel pins, product packaging, etc.), design its digital presence (websites, social media) apply identity as environmental graphics, and in simulations (signage, shop front, reception desk) as applicable.

Below is the option I choose for the applications.

1) Logo Applications
  • Business Card
  • Letter Head (& continuation sheet)
  • Invoice
  • Envelope
2) Collateral
  •  Tote-Bag
  • Staff Uniform
  • Skateboard
  • Thermos Bottle
3) Digital Presence (Website UI, social media, etc.)
4) Environmental graphics and simulations

Reflection:
Experience
This module provided me with an unexpected experience. I wasn't looking forward to this subject at first because I didn't know how to create logos. I detested designing them since I couldn't seem to come up with any creative ideas. I like seeing others develop logos for businesses and learning about their meanings, but making them yourself was a very other experience. Despite the fact that this lesson did not change my views, I believe I had a lot of fun with it. Project 3 was my favourite portion since I adore designing collaterals in general.

Observation
I've realised that I'm far more insecure about my job than I thought I was. I had the impression that I wasn't doing very well in this module. I felt like I lacked so much in comparison to my contemporaries and had so much to learn from them. As a result, I'll strive to do more and worry about whether or not what I'm doing is correct. I don't feel like I can fully access my own abilities or see the value of my creations. With the help of my pals, I believe I got a lot more confidence.

Findings
I've discovered that I'm not very imaginative when it comes to designing logos. I guess it's not my cup of tea. However, I loved brand identity since it's fascinating to watch how a set of standards, objectives, and other elements come together to produce such a large project. To be honest, I'm finding this semester to be fairly demanding, although not as crazy as I had anticipated. There was a lot to accomplish every day with all of the modules I took this semester. I believe I should procrastinate less so that my schedule is more organised. My workload might often pile up because I haven't organised it well, therefore I believe it's critical that I strive to better organise my assignments and other responsibilities.
