Experiences:
In the whole semester of typography class, I can conclude in one word which was 'STRESS'.
Before I started the new semester of my first-year degree, I was very afraid of facing the new challenge of Typography. The reason why I am so afraid of typography even the whole semester 1 subject was that i am new to it and 0 skill. I didn't take any design courses in foundation so that's why I am so struggling with it. But never mind I still feel like I learn a lot of knowledge. I also very thankful about even Mr.Vinod and Mr. Shamshul was very tired of giving some feedbacks that already gave before just because my retarded brain and make it worse every time, they still teaching us patiently.The class was stress but i know was helpful too. To be honest I really get collapse both mentally and physically, just because my work was too trash compare with other classmates. I will try to improve more in the next semester's advanced typography class.
Observation:
After this semester, i have know about how important typography was. Typography can use in almost everywhere, we definitely get into contact with typography in like such as poster, newspaper, etc. After learning that typography knowledge, I finally know that amazing artwork is so hard to happen and make me more respectful of those artists.As a conclusion, everything matters, every single details needs to be studied, and when you learn how to do it and when to do it, you will see the difference.
Findings:
It will not work out properly no matter how good the design idea is if we do not implement it thoroughly and in detail. I discovered that this curriculum requires me to be organized and hardworking. To stay on top of all of my assignments and e-portfolio updates, I've learned to meticulously document my work process and professor comments. I understand that we want feedback in order to better ourselves, and I constantly keep in mind that if we are frightened, we will not improve.
