LECTURE:

Week6:

This week, we were first, given a briefing about what needed to be done for this project. The theme for the poster design is Malaysian Refugees. We were also instructed to conduct research on the issue in order to gather facts and references, which we were to post on the mood-board given.

After we do the references of the poster, we were assigned to define our concept and do some research for our topic. When I reading those articles about refugees and watching some videos on youtube, I found out some of the topics were about the Syrian refugees in Malaysia. So I decided to do this topic all my best.

Week 7:

In this week, we were told about  define our concept

Week 8:
In week 8, I started to develop my poster. Apply color, typography, textures & effects Finalize your design with color correction.

For the first attempt I use some refugees photo and try to let them match together but it looks pretty bad.

Then I started to create a new one with a nicer layout and typography.

However when i gave Mr. Fauzi take a look about this second poster design he want me to try another typography because the typography currently looks very blur. So i make a new one and which was my final poster design.

Description:

Refugees are empowered if they better understand the legal and social context in which they live. Better and more informed choices are made by refugees if they have accurate and transparent information on the range of protection services offered and options for their legal status and future solutions, including resettlement, repatriation and UNHCR processing. We need to empower, support, and capacitate refugee communities to address their own protection needs. Furthermore, this poster also lets someone pay attention and support community-based structures in order to stimulate and increase community participation and self-management.

Reflection:
During the research period, i realize that actually Malaysia got a huge group of refugees that were be treated unfairly. I also sign with emotion that i live in a peaceful and happiness world compare with them. God bless all of the refugees that keep struggling in their life and we should try our best to help them.
